A detailed look into how AI could support educational transformation
This book is an excellent research backed and opportunity defining summary of AI Education that can help us rise above the proliferation of superficial AI education tools that are thin layers on top of LLMs. How AI can help us truly transform education at the student, school, curricular, and system levels is all covered in various ways throughout the book.By spanning the perspective of individual learners (agency, motivation, identity, personalization, etc) through to the system level applications (multidisciplinary curricular opportunities, digital literacies, meta learning, new requirement models, etc.) you can see how AI might be used throughout educational change initiatives beyond what we see in use today.Be prepared to re-read the book or at least review highlights and notes for future reference! Several areas of the book can contain detailed research that requires time for reflection / analysis.

FABULOUS!
Education for the Age of AI is a FABULOUS resource. I’m thrilled to have read it and to be able to draw upon it in when thinking about what’s needed for our beleaguered education system. It offers a rare but necessary combination of visionary insight and meticulous analysis.
