Works like it should
After my daughter said she had been unhappy that they stoped teaching cursive in school just as she was getting to a grade where they taught it, we decided to try this. It has all the letters the way I learned them and plenty of practice on making the shape right, and room to try on your own. Great book for learning. Her next plan is calligraphy.

This book is awesome
My Niece is in 5th grade and the school is not teaching the students how to write in cursive. They are still printing, so I got this book for her and she is excited since she will be able to learn how to write cursive. She practices every day and I guess she will be able to write cursive before her classmates. Thank You so much. I guess school priorities don’t include cursive writing, which is so sad. Our education system has gone to hell in a handbasket, UGH.

Not a lot of just specific letter practice
This is a nice book, however, I would think beginning cursive would have more single letter practice space.

My son loves this
My son talked non stop about learning cursive after seeing some of our late grandmother’s old notebooks. Not being 100% sure he would learn at school in the next couple of years or at all I asked if he would like a workbook to teach himself. He agreed even though he seems unsure about it. Once it got here and he started working in it he was thrilled. He’s been showing his cousins and trying to teach them now.

In the US many states do not properly teach students to write and read in cursive anymore which baffles me. So it is up to the parent and these will definitely help for any age.

Good for practicing cursive
This book is good for practicing cursive and groups the letters to practice together. I wished it included additional pages using the same letters. To get additional practice you should be prepared to either make copies or have the book laminated.

They’re ok, but better for practice vs a beginner
My children were a little disappointed that these books didn’t have directional arrows for beginners.I had to go online and find print outs to help them more.

This is my best handwriting….
I wanted to make sure my kids learned how to write in cursive because it’s becoming a lost art but also gives me the opportunity to spend time and teach my kids something special like the gift of handwriting. This book is great for basic learning and my kids enjoyed it!

Beginning Cursive
I bought this for my granddaughter. She does not know cursive. She was visiting from out of state. She didn’t take the books home with her. I was very upset, that she wouldn’t even try to learn. I donated them to Salvation Army. Hopefully someone will want to learn.

I taught my two grandchildren how to write this summer of 2023. It’s a shame they have taken writing outta school. This book is a great learning tool. My grandchildren loved learning to write in cursive. I would recommend to anyone willing to advance their children.

Great for review, not for beginning instruction
Looking for book to use to teach cursive. This begins with the assumption that cursive has already been introduced. For a review workbook, five stars. The book is affordable, pages are bright white, fun/quirky drawings on most pages that would be fun to color but aren’t distracting. For beginning instruction, zero stars. Order of letters is not as systematic as others books, seven cursive letters used in first three pages.Cursive is taught at a slant, which we like (as opposed to Handwriting without tears). Note that the cursive Q is taught in this workbook with a closed circle (looks very much like a print Q) as opposed to an open circle (which looks a lot like a fancy 2).Returning this and buying A Reason For Handwriting C. I have used A Reason for Handwriting with my other children and it has been excellent. (Our family appreciates that it incorporates Bible verses but if you prefer a workbook that doesn’t, it wouldn’t be the right fit.) I just thought I would try this workbook since less expensive.

Good to start with Cursive
I ordered it for my daughter who is learning cursive. It is good product but its not erasable/reusable. its kind of normal paper, how it after one time use which I didn’t like that part. as kids usually makes mistake and they should be able to reuse these papers.

Great Product for teaching Cursive
This was a great product for teaching my 4th grader to begin his cursive writing journey. We really liked that the lines aren’t so tightly compact that it’s hard for him to write in. Good quality product.

Good cursive book but confusing order of letters
Alright first thing I’d like to note is that the order in which the letters are in seem to go from less curvy to most curvy, A being the first practice letter and K being the last with lowercase and the order is different for uppercase letters, this isn’t a problem for me though the book is still great.

This is great for brain retraining
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2023 and had to undergo through radiation treatments which damaged the part of my brain that controls muscle movement in my right arm. I still knew how to write mentally but my body didn’t cooperate. My doctor suggested getting a 3rd grade “learn to write book” and to start practicing to retrain my arm and hand muscles, as well as my brain. A great way to do this.

Good practice but…
This is a good book to practice in but as far as learning cursive initially, I would prefer the alphabet in order. Capital A, lowercase a, and so on. This book, with the blends right away, tend to make the student feel overwhelmed at times. We’ll continue to use this as future practice but I will print out some easy alphabet pages online for beginner learning.

curriculum not just a work book
I got a couple books on Amazon and this one is the prize. Its not a lot of content so I pair it with others for reinforcement, but what I love about it is the organization of it. Instead of just alphabetical order/26 letters then some words, it is more like a curriculum laying out a logical progression of concepts. It builds on letters that share common formations and each page includes transitions and words that use letters introduced so far. Highly recommend this little $4 book to include if you are teaching cursive at home.

Cursive is not in the curriculum anymore
We must fill in the gaps. Teach kids yourself you want them read historical documents,? There in cursive. Any who crosses my path will be taught there name in manuscript at minimum. M elderly mother needed the practice in my opinion keeping her sharp and legible
